Health and Safety Level 1 Course

hard hat This is a great course and is suitable for personnel with no formal health and safety training. The qualification has been specifically designed for those who are entering the workplace for the first time either as an apprentice or as a refresher for staff (young and old).  This training provides an awareness of key health and safety issues and the part that staff should play in keeping themselves and others free from harm at work. It will also benefit those who are starting a new job – as part of an induction programme.

Duration:  A half a day course depending on the target audience (4 hours).

Course Content:

hard hat Understanding the importance of health, safety and welfare standards in the workplace
hard hat Knowing how hazards and risks are controlled in the workplace
hard hat Being aware of the main causes and effects of poor health and safety at work
hard hat Understanding how health and safety information is communicated in the workplace

:  A certificate will be issued to all delegates, subject to passing the assessment.

Please note: 

hard hat This qualification does not expire, but refresher training and keeping up to date with changes to policies and procedures is vital to keep the qualification current.  A student cannot assume a responsibility in the workplace until they reach the age of 16, and then it is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that the student is supervised in that role (young worker).
